This research is mainly aimed at finding out whether there is a positive correlation or not between the influence of teachers explanation about reading on students achievement in english at MTS Daar El Istiqomah Serang. The method of this research is a correlation study, the sample is 20 students who are taken using non-probability sampling, appropriated with the condition and the aim of research, the instruments used to collect data of students achivement at Daar El Istiqomah Serang are observation, closed questionnaire and the result of oral test data (reading subject), the technique analyzing data to determine the coefficient of correlation between the influence of teachers explanation about reading and students achivement is product moment correlation formula.</note>
