xvii + 79 hlm.; 18 x 25 cm This study aims to find how many types of lexical relations in popular english songs on tiktok, and how do lexical relations in popular english songs on tiktok reflect the development of popular language among younger generation. Lexical relations refer to the relationship between the meanings of words in a language. This research uses qualitative descriptive research methods. This study found all types of lexical relations which amounted to 30 cases, such as 9 polysemy,5 antonymy, 4 synonymy, 4 hyponymy, 4 meronymy and 4 homonymy. This study explains how lexical relations, especially polysemy, in popular English songs on TikTok show the development of language among the younger generation. Words like home, war, heavy, and laugh are used in song lyrics with more than one meaning, helping young people express emotions and identity in creative ways. TikTok also spreads new slang such as rizz, delulu, no cap, and main character, which shows how language is changing quickly. These slang words often have different meanings depending on context. This research shows that polysemy and slang reflect how the younger generation creates and uses language in social and digital life. The results of all data are obtained from 5 popular English songs in tikok in 2023-2024, the songs are Ancor by Nomo Amor, Good days by SZA, Car's Outside by James Arthur, Ocean Eyes by Billie eilish, and End of Beginning by Djo.
