<note>This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the Quizlet application in improving students’ ability to write descriptive texts at the eighth grade of SMPN 1 Cinangka in the academic year of 2025. Writing is one of the most challenging skills for EFL learners since it requires the integration of vocabulary, grammar, organization, and coherence. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving 68 students, divided into an experimental group taught using Quizlet and a control group taught using conventional methods. The data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests of descriptive writing and analyzed using the Mann Whitney U test. The result showed a significance value of 0.018 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between both groups. The effect size value of 1.43 demonstrated a very strong effect, confirming that the use of Quizlet effectively improved students’ writing performance. Therefore, it can be concluded that Quizlet is an effective and engaging digital learning tool to enhance students’ descriptive writing skills in EFL classrooms.</note>
