<note>This research discusses the use of the Padlet website on student descriptive text writing ability at SMP Negerei 16 Kota Serang. The low writing ability of students are caused by the lack of use of technology in learning to write, the lack of development of ideas, and the undeveloped creativity of students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Padlet website in improving descriptive text writing ability in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 16 Kota Serang. This study used a quantitative method through a quasi-experimental research approach involving two classes as samples, namely classes 8E and 8D, each totaling 25 students. Data were collected through writing test instruments before and after. Before the treatment, the researcher found a lack of students' writing ability, but after the treatment, the students' writing ability changed significantly. The results showed that sig (2 tailed) is 0,001 &#60; 0,05, then rejected which shows that the use of the Padlet website has a positive effect on students' writing ability. In addition, learning becomes more interesting, interactive, and able to stimulate students' creativity and critical thinking.</note>
