<note>The purposes of these study are to investigate the difficulties faced by vocational high school students and to find out students’ strategiesin dealing with the difficulties they face when taking the International Communication (TOEIC) test. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The instruments used in this study were observation, interview, and supported by documentation. The participants of this study were 15 students of class XII Machining Engineering SMK YP Fatahillah 1 Cilegon. The results showed that, when the implementation of the TOEIC test took place, students felt difficulties, the difficulties faced by students were, lack of understanding of vocabulary, and lack of understanding of the material on the TOEIC test. but with the difficulties they faced, students had future strategies as student evaluation material by memorizing vocabulary and recording new vocabulary so that they could be remembered. This reaserch also showed that. the students had future strategies as future student learning materials by evaluating learning, memorizing vocabuleries and recording new vocabularies so that they could be remember.</note>
