The Effectiveness of the Feynman Technique in Reducing Writing Errors on EFL Students’ Report Writing (A Pre Experimental Study of 9th Grade Junior High School Students at MTs Al Jauharotunnaqiyyah Kota Cilegon)

This study examines the effectiveness of the Feynman Technique in reducing writing errors in EFL students’ report writing at MTs Al Jauharotunnaqiyyah Kota Cilegon during the 2024/2025 academic year. Using a pre-experimental research design, the pre-test and post-test taken by the research sample, consisting of 32 ninth-grade students, were analyzed to assess the effectiveness of the intervention on students’ writing performance, specifically in their report writing. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ writing, shown through the reduction of errors in both tests. Manual calculations showed that the observed t-value (to) was 12.08, exceeding the critical t-value (tt) of 1.697, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho), and thereby the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Statistical analysis using SPSS 30.0 supported these findings, with a p-value of
