This study aims to determine the impact of POSSE strategy on reading comprehension of seventh grade students at MTs Al Mahdi Sindangheula. This study used quantitative method with quasi-experimental design. The samples of this study were two classes, 7-4 as the experimental class and 7-5 as the control class, each class consisted of 21 students. The stages of this study were pre-test, treatment and post-test. The results of this study show that the POSSE strategy has a significant impact, with a t-value of 4,079, which is higher than the t-table of 2,093. This shows that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Additionally, the POSSE strategy significantly improves students' reading comprehension, accounting for 46,7% of the improvement. Other factors, such as students' prior knowledge, which is crucial in assisting them in making connections between new and existing information, account for the remaining 53,3%. Students' reading comprehension is improved by using the POSSE strategy, which helps them organize information, connect the text to past knowledge, and methodically summarize the reading material.
