The Effectiveness of Using Hello English Application in Students’ Learning English Grammar (Quasi-Experimental Research at the Eighth Grade of MTsN 2 Kota Serang)
This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the use of the Hello English Application on the Grammar skills of eighth-grade students of Mtsn 2 Kota Serang. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental research. The population of this study was eighth-grade students. The sample consisted of two classes: class VIII D as the experimental group and VIII A as the control group. The control group consisted of 32 students and the experimental group consisted of 31 students. This research was conducted through several stages: pre-test, treatment, and post-test. Performance tests obtained data. Based on the statistical analysis, there is an effect of using Hello English Application as seen from Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.00 is smaller than 0.05, meaning that Ha (Alternative Hypothesis) is accepted, and Ho (Null Hypothesis) is rejected. This is significant based on the percent increase in Grammar of eighth-grade students of Mtsn 2 Kota Serang by 90%, and other variables influence the remaining 10%. The conclusion from the data shows that there is an effectiveness in students' english grammar of using Hello English Application.
