<note>This study aims to determine the effect of the movie &#34;Jack and the Beanstalk&#34; on improving the English vocabulary of eight grade students of MTSN 1 Serang City. This study uses a quasi-experimental method, sample involved in this study amounted to 60 students of eight grade in MTSN 1 Serang which was divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Data analysis in this study used the t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of the movie&#34;Jack and the Beanstalk&#34; on students' English vocabulary. Based on the data obtained, the researcher obtained an average pre-test score in the experimental class of 51.16 and an average post-test score in the experimental class of 81.83. Meanwhile, the average score of the pre-test of the control class was 41.83 and the average score of the post-test of the control class was 75.83. The researcher compared it with tt the value of to (observation) is higher than tt (t table) from significance 5% tobservation =3,63 ttable =1,67 or tobservation 3,63&#62;1,67 and significance 1% tobservation= 3,63 ttable =2,39 or tobservation 3,63&#62;2,39. The researcher got &#34;to&#34; from the calculation is higher than ttable both of significance level 5% and 1% the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted (Ho) is rejected. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of animated film media &#34;Jack and the Beanstalk&#34; has an effect on increasing the English vocabulary of class eight grade students of MTSN 1 Serang City.</note>
