The Effect of Pictures on Students’ Noun Vocabularies Memorizing (A Quasi-Experimental Research at Seventh Grade Student of SMPN 1 Majasari)
This research was committed the effectiveness of The Effect of Pictures on Students’ Noun Vocabularies Memorizing at Seventh Grade of SMPN 1 Majasari. The aim of this research is to investigate the ability and effectiveness of noun vocabularies memorizing of students when using pictures that allows students to gain new experiences and insights in using the learning media. The researcher used quantitative research method with the quasi-experimental design. The researcher took the sample of the students through cluster sampling. The result of pre-test shows that experimental group got a higher score than the control group. Mean score of pre-test in the experimental group was 69.33 and mean of pre-test of the control group was 70.83. To know whether the experimental group improved in noun vocabulary memorizing or not the researcher took post-test. The researcher used IBM SPSS 27.0 program to calculate all the data in this research. It means, the mean of post-test of experimental group was increased 81.16. The analysis of hypothesis also determined that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted which means there is a significant effect in the Effect of Pictures on students’ noun vocabularies memorizing. It can be concluded that using Pictures could help students learn noun vocabulary much fun through interesting learning, stimulate students to learn more actively, and also to increase their vocabularies memorizing.
