<note>This study aims to measure the improvement of students’ vocabulary memorization after giving a treatment by using a semantic mapping strategy at the Seventh Grade Students of MTsN 1 Kota Serang. This research investigates the effectiveness of using semantic mapping strategy on students’ vocabulary memorization and students’ ability to memorize vocabulary before and after using semantic mapping strategy. This research uses quasi-experimental research by conducting pre-test, treatment, post-test, and documentation. The sample is consisted on two group which is experimental class VII.G (38 students) and control class VII.F (38 students) from MTsN 1 Kota Serang. The result of this research showed that; By using the semantic mapping strategy, the students’ vocabulary memorization has increased from an average of 66,95 to 82,21 with a difference score of 15,26 points. There is an influence on using semantic mapping strategy as a media toward students’ vocabulary memorization at the seventh grade of MTsN 1 Kota Serang. It could be seen that the t-test result of 3,955 is higher than the significance. The percentage of semantic mapping strategy in enhancing vocabulary was also high.</note>
