<note>This research aims to describe the strategies used by students in public speaking activities, and the activities of public speaking activities implemented by the CLI club. This research was conducted at the Al Madina Islamic Boarding School. The method used was qualitative, the instruments used in this research are observation and interviews. The results of the research show that the strategies used in public speaking activities look good, especially at the Al Madina Islamic boarding school which links these activities to da'wah. Public speaking can also help students explore their speaking skills after implementing this program, so they can improve their speaking abilities. The strategy implemented by the CLI club namely : 1) write down speech texts, 2) memorize them, 3) increase self-awareness, 4) open a dictionary with the aim of adding new vocabulary. Public speaking is a form of test to find out how well students use everyday language. It can be seen from the activities in the CLI club that require students to use language in various forms of activities. Activities held by the CLI club to help language students are how to apply grammar, how to open a dictionary, how to translate and writing. This activity can help students in public speaking activities run well.</note>
