An Analysis of Parents' Perceptions in Learning English for Their Children in Globalization Era (Research at MI Raudlatul Irfan Hasaniyah)

This study generally attempted to find out how parents perceive English learning for their children in this era of globalization. In this research, researchers used purposive sampling in selecting sample. The selected participants were 25 parents of grade 3 students at Mi Raudlatul Irfan Hasaniyah. The instruments used in this research is an online questionnaire. Researchers found a positive attitude among participants regarding their perceptions of learning English for their children in this era of globalization. Researchers found several reasons why parents consider learning English for children in this era of globalization important. Among others are: English is used to communicate with other people in various countries. The role of parents in their child's educational involvement, including when learning English, will have a positive impact on the child's academic achievement. One of the competencies needed to reach the era of globalization is the ability to use English well. English is a soft skill to help achieve a future full of achievements.
