<note>This research aims to determine the use of the Rosetta Stone application to
improve the vocabulary skills of students in eighth grade at SMPN 1
Pakuhaji. This research is experimental research and uses a quasi-experimental method, comparing two classes from class VIII SMPN 1
Pakuhaji, namely VIII 6 as the experimental class, and VIII 5 as the control
class, the research instruments used are pre-test and post-test. Tests and
ensuring scores are collected using assessment sheets to increase students'
understanding abilities in using the Rosetta Stone application in eighth grade
at SMPN 1 Pakuhaji. The author collected data from 60 students in two
classes from the experimental class and the control class, the results showed
that the Rosetta stone application could improve students' vocabulary skills,
this can be seen from the experimental class scores, the average pre-test
score was (45.03) and post-test value (79.83), the second sample t-table, t-test hypothesis with a significance level of 5% was found ( 1.67) and with
a significance level of 1% was found ( 2.39). And the results are at 5%
significance = 1.66 and 1% = 2.39. This shows to > tt or 4.19 > 1.67 and
4.19 > 2.39 so that the null hypothesis ( ) is rejected and the alternative
hypothesis ( ) is accepted, from the increase in students' abilities seen from
the students' enthusiasm in participating in learning English queries. Which
is felt to be more fun and helps students to improve their understanding skills
by continuing to interact and explore their own abilities using the Rosetta
stone application?</note>
