The Influence of Using Annotation Strategy towards Students’ Reading Comprehension on Recount Text (A Quasi-Experimental Research at the Eighth Grade of SMP 1 Wanasalam)
This research is aimed to investigate the influence of using Annotation strategy toward student's reading comprehension on recount text at the eighth grade of SMPN 1 Wanasalam, Lebak - Banten. The method used in this this research is Quasi-Experimental. The population are students at the eighth grade of SMPN 1 Wanasalam and the sample from class A and class B, Class A (Control Class) consists of 25 students and class B (Experimental Class) consists of 25 students which are selected by using random sampling. This research used pre-test and post-test technique. Data analysis used for statistial test used the t-test. Moreover, the results of the post-test revealed that the experimental class has a significantly higher score than the control class. In addition, the results of the Independent Sample T-Test revealed that the sig-2 tailed value is 0.32, while the alpha (α) is 0.05 which is 0.32
