<note>The purpose of this research aims to examine the significant influence of using Three- Step Interview technique on students’ speaking skill before and after being taught by using Three-Step Interview technique of the tenth students at MAN 2 Koata Cilegon. The study is quasi-experimental design which intends to obtain the empirical evidence of the influence of three-step interview technique on students’ speaking skill. The population is the tenth grade students at MAN 2 Kota Cilegon. The sample is 60 students chosen through purposive sampling technique and classified into two classes, experimental and control class. The instruments are speaking test. The test is given at the beginning and at the end of the treatment by using three-step interview technique. The data of pre-test and post-test are analyzed by using t-test. The result of pre-test score from both classes showed that the mean score of control class is higher than experimental class. Meanwhile, the result of post-test score revealed that the score of experimental class is significantly higher than control class. The research finding of the last result showed that t-count is higher than t-table at a 5% significance level or t-count = 4.33 > t-table = 2.00. It clearly proved that there is a significant influence of using three step interview technique on students’ speaking skill of the tenth grade students at MAN 2 Kota Cilegon.</note>
