<note>This research aimed to knowing whether there is an effect on students’ reading comprehension after using reciprocal strategy. The aims of the research is two. to know the effectiveness of reciprocal strategy in teaching students’ reading comprehension at MAN 2 Kabupaten Serang and how the implementation of reciprocal strategy in teaching reading comprehension. This researcher used quasi experimental. The research instrument used pre-test and post-test. The researcher collect the data from 60 students. Data analysis used for statistical test used the t-test. The research result showed that the experimental class has a good improvement after receving treatment. It is seen from the average score in post-test was higher than pre-test 77,3 &#62; 65,3. in degree of significance 5% the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It means there is significant effect of using Reciprocal strategy students’ reading cpmprehension in descriptive text.</note>
