<note>This research is entitled the effectiveness of Using the Cake Application for Vocabulary Mastery. The primary aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of utilizing Cake Application as a tool to enhance vocabulary mastery among seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Pakuhaji Tangerang during the academic year 2023/2024. This research empoys a quasi-experimental design involving 60 students, divided into two groups; an experimental class (VIII-A) consist of 30 students and a control class (VIII –B) consist of 30 students. The studty comprises three key stages; pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The experimental group (VIII-A) was exposed to the “cake” application, while the control group (VIII –B) did not have access to it. The findings t h i s s t u d y reveal that the average pretest score for the experimental class (64,81) was higher than that of the control class (61.17). after the treatment, the experimental class achieved an average posttest score of 77.50, while the control class’s average posttest score was 70. Notably, statistical analysis revealed a substantial t-test value of 2.446, surpassing the predefined significance threshold 5% and 1%. Based on the hypothesis testing, there is significanct effect to the utilization of Cake Application for vocabulary mastery among eight-grade students at SMPN 3 Pakuhaji Tangerang. Remarkably, the effect size calculation indicates an impressive 82% enhancement in students’ performance when the Cake Application wa integrated as a learning tool for Vocabulary Mastery.</note>
