The Correlation between The Students’ English and Arabic Grammar Mastery (A Quantitative Research of Eleventh Grade High School Students at Islamic Boarding School Daarul Falah)
This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between students' mastery of English and Arabic grammar, especially in students' understanding of grammar. The instrument in this study used a grammar test and the method in the study used quantitative methods. The sample in this study involved 20 students from several populations of class XI students of Daarul Falah Islamic Boarding School. The research results obtained from this study show that the "tcount" obtained from the calculation results is higher than the t table at both the 5% and 1% significance levels, with a significance of 5% tcount = 11.8 and ttable= 2.1 or rcount= 11.8 > 2.1. 1% significance tcount= 11.8 and ttable= 2.8 or rcount= 11 > 2.87. In addition, the results of this very strong correlation study indicate that students who have a high level of mastery of English grammar mean they also have high achievement in mastering Arabic grammar, and vice versa. If students have a low level of mastery of English grammar means they also get low achievement in mastering Arabic grammar. Based on the above results, it can be concluded that students' mastery of English grammar features has a significant role in students' Arabic grammar.
