<note>This study aims to describe the use of Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) media in learning English at senior high school. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Kota Cilegon. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with case study approach. The respondents in this study were fifteen second grade students and two English teachers who taught in the second grade. The instruments in this study used open-ended questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study include challenges in the use of smartphones that become output on learning. Then the supporting and inhibiting factors in the use of smartphones that affect the ability to understand and improve basic language skills in students.</note>
