This research was conducted with qualitative method. The participants of this research are 21 EFL students from grade 11 of Al-Mizan Islamic Boarding School. The instruments of this research are questionnaires and interview. The findings of the research reveal that EFL students are actively using language learning strategies and the most frequently used strategies are metacognitive strategies. It was followed by cognitive strategies, social strategies, affective strategies, compensation strategies, and memory strategies. And EFL students are having a high and medium level of self-efficacy. Therefore, it can be concluded that using language learning strategies could made students believe in their ability that they can speak English in front of the class.
