Improving Students’ Ability to Construct Imperative Sentence Through Interactive Digital Learning (A Classroom Action Research at VII Grade of SMP Negeri 1 Kresek)


This Classroom Action Research examines how digital learning can improve learning strategies for imperative sentences, especially techniques for construct and using them. A sample of 37 students was selected as participants. The Classroom Action Research design used is collaborative research, this research follows the Kemmis and Taggart design. Data collection used in this research was interviews, observations, questionnaires and tests. Analysis of the collected data yielded significant results. Initially, the results obtained from Pretest and Posttest Cycle 1 had an average score of 50.81 and 55.67 or 54.05% with 20 students reaching the Minimum Mastery Criterion- Kriteria Ketuntasan (KKM) and the average score obtained in Posttest Cycle 2 was 81.08 or 86 .48% with 32 students reaching the Minimum Mastery Criterion- Kriteria Ketuntasan (KKM). This Classroom Action Research is proven through questionnaires and test results which are calculated based on formulas. Most importantly, the results of this research highlight that there is an increase in students' ability to use and construct imperative sentences based on test results which show an increase in students' ability to use and construct imperative sentences because the majority of students get good grades at the end of each cycle. These findings underscore that students have high enthusiasm in acquiring grammar learning materials and have motivation in learning imperative sentences which aimed at cultivating academic integrity, use modern learning techniques and increase students' ability to construct and use imperative sentences.
