<note>This study aims to find out the application socio affective strategy in learning speaking conducted by English teachers at MTs Daarul Hidayah Cipanas Lebak and to find out what the students' responses about the application of this strategy. This research was conducted at MTs Daarul Hidayah Cipanas Lebak, the number of respondents from this study were 28 grade 8th students and 1 English teacher, this research is a type of qualitative research a case study, which intends to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by research subjects, for example behavior, perceptions, motivation, action and so on, and by means of descriptions in the form of words and language. The collecting data used is obtained from the results of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study concluded that the application of socio affective strategy in the process of teaching speaking, namely: the teacher applies socio affective strategy so that learning in class is not boring, dares to interact with classmates, not afraid of being wrong in speaking English, and confident, then from the perspective of socio affective students it works effectively in improving speaking skills for 8th grade students of MTs Daarul Hidayah Cipanas Lebak.</note>
