In this study, the researcher asked a research question, namely how was the students' English vocabulary before being given the chain cards? Is there any effectiveness of chain cards to increase student vocabulary in class VII students of MTs Tunsawangi Cadasari Pandeglang Banten? To answer this, previous researchers used the chain cards research method with data collection techniques through pre-test and post-test, treatment, and class evaluation. A total of two classes were involved in this study, namely class VII A taught using the cahin cards technique. Meanwhile, class VII B was not taught the chain card technique. The final findings of this study r eveal that from research conducted at MTs Tunaswangi it was found that the vocabulary mastery abilities of students who used the chain card strategy were better. With a tcount value of 4,287 and a ttable of 20,106, df 38, a significance of 5%, the H1 statement is accepted.
