<note>This study aims to determine Students' perceptions of the use of cooperative learning type group investigation in improving students' speaking skills. The problem formulations of this research are: (1) How is the application of cooperative learning type group investigation in class? and (2) How are student's perceptions of the use of cooperative learning type group investigation in increasing student speaking skills? This research was conducted through quantitative research. This type of research is specifically a survey. The researcher decided to use the survey as the focus of the case. The participants of this study were thirty (30) eighth-grade students at Mts El-Syarief Kresek. Students' perceptions of the use of cooperative learning type group investigation in improving students' speaking skills were obtained through observation, questionnaire, and interview. The results showed that the student's perceptions of the use of cooperative learning type group investigation in improving students' speaking skills were positive. This finding is supported by data from the questionnaire which shows that 38.67% answered strongly agree, 52.00% answered agree, 5.33% answered neither agree nor disagree, 2.89% answered disagree, and 0.01 of the total respondents answered strongly disagree. This means that most students feel that learning using the cooperative learning method of group investigation is very helpful in improving their speaking skills.</note>
