<note>The main focus of this research is on students' writing recount text based on linguistic intelligence perspective. The aim of this research is to analyze how students' linguistic intelligence is in writing recount texts. Participants in this research were five students of SMPN 1 Baros, Kabupaten Serang. The researcher only took one class, namely class 8 E. This research was designed as a case study research, with data collection through tests and interviews. The finding of this study show that students' linguistic intelligence in writing recount texts is divided into four categories: content (Good), vocabulary (Good), grammar (Fair), and mechanics (Poor). The lowest result is in mechanics. This means that there are still many errors in spelling, capitalization and punctuation in students' writing. Some students can already write recount texts quite well, but some of them still need to improve their linguistic intelligence in writing recount texts.</note>
