Local Culture Based in Teaching Narrative Text Writing (A Qualitative Research in Grade 10 of SMK Al-Khaeriyah at Pengampelan Kota Serang)


This study aims to describe the application of local culture-based learning models in writing narrative texts and knowing local cultural values that exist in learning to write narrative texts in class X SMK AL-KHAERIYAH Pengampelan. The cultural values contained in writing narrative texts are social values and religious or moral values. The method used is qualitative, the instruments used in this study are observation,interviews and documentation. Participants in this study were class X students of SMK AL-KHAERIYAH Pengampelan. The researcher investigates the implementation of learning local culture in learning to write narrative text and cultural values in learning to write narrative text. From the investigation, the researcher finds that the implementation of learning local culture in learning to write narrative text is very influential for students, where students look more enthusiastic during the process. learning and can improve students' writing skills. In addition, the researcher also found that the cultural values contained in writing are the values of norms and social values. The results of the study concluded that the application of local culture-based learning models to writing narrative texts can improve students' abilities as well as interest and motivation in learning to write narrative texts. In addition, the cultural values that exist in learning to write narrative texts are social values and normative values.
