<note>This research is designed to compare the students’ achievement in reading comprehension before and after being taught by questioning strategy and to find out the effect of “Questioning Strategy” towards students’ reading comprehension at the eleventh grade students in SMAN 1 Ciruas. This research used an experimental research design and the data was collected by giving the pre-test and post-test from 74 students in two classes (experimental class and control class). The results of this research can be seen from the students' pre-test and post-test data. The mean of pre-test score in experimental class is 75.4 meanwhile the mean of post-test score is 86.8. Based on the statistical calculation, the value of is 4.20, and the df is 72. Based on the df, it has been found that the value at the significant level of 5% is 1.67 and at the significant level of 1% is 2.38. From comparing the and the , the result is . It means that the is higher than the . Therefore, the Null Hypothesis ( is rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis ( is accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of using Questioning Strategy on students' reading comprehension skills. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Questioning strategy can be used by the teacher as one of the teaching strategies for reading comprehension.</note>
