<note>This research aimed to analyze the speaking skills of male and female students in SMA Negeri 1 Cikande based on genderlect. This research used descriptive qualitative method with purposive sampling to identify male and female students speaking skill. In collecting the data, the research used score documentation from teacher, speaking performance test, and interview to identify the male and female ability in English speaking skill, especially in the five aspects of speaking component: pronunciation, grammar, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. The result shows that female students are better than male students in speaking skill. The result shows female students are better in aspects of pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension than male students. Meanwhile, in terms of fluency, male and female students have equal abilities. In conclusion, there a significant different between male and female in speaking skills.</note>
