The Effectiveness of Using Storyboard Learning Technique to Improve Writing English Narrative Text (An Experimental Research at the Eleven Grade of SMAN 1 Cikeusal)


The aims of this research is to see the improvement of students in writing narrative texts using storyboard telling learning technique and to help students develop English language learning especially in the field of writing narrative texts. This research conducted in SMAN 1 Cikeusal. Method used for this research is experimental with two classes, called experimental and control class using pre-tes and post-tes technique. This research involves 60 student as sample among at the eleven grade of SMAN 1 Cikeusal as population. Based on the results of the study, the average pre-tes score was 51.96 and the post-tes average was 59.63 from the control class, while from the experimental class the average pre-tes score was 56.36 and the post-tes average was tes is 64.86. the result show that the value of 6748 is greater than the ttable value of 2.001, then the results are accepted. This study shows that the writing skills of students who use storyboard telling achieve better performance than those who do not use storyboard telling.
