Applying Read, Think, Talk to Improve Students Speaking Skill (The Quasi Experiment At MA Salafiyah At-Thohiriyah, Serang)
The purpose of this research is to investigate the students' speaking ability before the implementation of Read Think Talk technique and to investigate the effectiveness of the implementation of Read Think Talk in improving students' speaking skills at MA Salafiyah At-Thohiriyah, Serang in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was conducted based on two problems below: 1. How is the students' speaking ability before the implementation of Read Think Talk technique At MA Salafiyah At-Thohiriyah, Serang? 2. How is the effectiveness of Read Think Talk technique to improve students' speaking skills? The data collected by the researcher was taken from 46 students, which was divided into two classes, experimental class (XA) and control class (XB). The researcher uses the quasi experiment which includes instruments using three steps (pre-test, treatment and post-test). t-test was used to analyze the data in this study. The effectiveness of the read think talk technique in improving students' speaking skills can be seen from the results of the test. The pre-test data in the experimental class and control class with an average score 46,9 52,3. The effect is 64%, which means that there is a significant influence on the application of the read think talk technique in improving students' speaking skills.
