<note>The writer use this “word games” as a method to facilitate students in learning 
process, especially in vocabulary. This research is conducted on the research 
questions: 1. How is the word games as a teaching method can help students in 
vocabulary ?2. How is the effect of word games in teaching vocabulary?.The 
method used in this research is quasi experiment. The research conducted in the 
fifth grade students at SDIT BaniInsani as the population and class V A consists 
of 20 students as experimental class and V B consists of 20 students as control 
class are taken as the sample. The result of the research shows that using word 
games has significant difference on students’ vocabulary. The mean result of 
experiment class which use word games is higher than the mean of controlled 
class which use without word games. The students of experiment class is more 
active, so they enjoy the class. In control class the students seem less motivation 
and these all can seen from the result of the research which is held by the writer. 
The effect of word games on teaching vocabulary there is have influence effect. 
The writer summarized that and tt both in the significance effect 5% and in the 
significance effect 1% (1.68, 2.42 &#60; 2.54), it means that the Null Hypothesis 
(H0) is rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. It means there is 
a significance effect of using word games on teaching vocabulary.</note>
