<note>This study aims to develop animated video as a learning media for recount text material. The research conducted is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE research model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). This research was conducted in the second grade of MTs Daar el-Khairat with 16 students as respondents. Data collection techniques used observation and questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out by qualitative and quantitative analysis. The validation carried out is the validation of media experts and material experts. Both validation results resulted in "good" qualification with a percentage of 76% from media experts and 75% from material experts. The animated video also received a positive response from students with "very good" qualification with a percentage score of 85%. Animated videos as learning media can improve students' ability to understand recount text material. This can be seen from the increase in student learning outcomes which can be seen from the post-test value which is greater than the pre-test score, that is 78.75 > 67.5. Based on the result of research and development carried out it is stated that animated video can be used as learning media for recount text material.</note>
