The Analysis of Students’ writing skill in teaching descriptive text using “Negeri Lima Menara” movie (A Descriptive Research at First Grade of SMAIT Nurul Fikri Boarding School Kec. Cinangka Kab. Serang in Academic Year 2021)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the students' writing skill on descriptive text related to the five indicators of descriptive text and investigated the Problems faced students’ in writing descriptive text using “Negeri Lima Menara” Movie for tenth grade students at SMAIT Nurul Fikri Boarding School Kec. Cinangka. The data gained from students' writing descriptive text test and analyzed by using Heaton’s theory. The researcher used Quantitative approach with Descriptive research. The researcher was selected based on writing test analysis result. It shows that data average number using Movie, it shows that the content numbers 25,7 the organization 18,7 the vocabulary 17,2 as well then the language use 19,8 and then the last point is mechanic 4,1. From the data, it can conclude that the analysis results from aspects of the writing. It shows from the total score 85,5. Further, the study found some problems the students face when writing descriptive. First, students cannot develop their ideas. Second, the students have insufficient knowledge about the subject that will be described. Third, the students have problems in using a simple present tense. Finally, it can be concluded that The analysis of Students’ writing skill in teaching descriptive text using “Negeri Lima Menara” Movie Media”, at first grade of SMAIT Nurul fikri Boarding School academic year 2020/2021. This indicates that EFL students who have necessarily have good ability in writing descriptive text.
