<note>This research aims to find (1) kinds of errors in English-Indonesian translation of the recount text made by students of SMP-IT Al-Barokah Pandeglang, and (2) the dominant errors that found in English-Indonesian translation of the recount text made by students of SMP-IT Al-Barokah Pandeglang. The researcher takes 25 students as the sample in the eighth grade. In collecting data, the researcher uses an translating text to test the students ability in translating English text into bahasa Indonesia. Meanwhile, the qualitative design used in this study is descriptive study. The result of the data analysis show that most of students still have difficulty in translating text. Based on the data analysis, there are 126 or 36.10% errors of omission, 39 or 11.17% errors of addition, 173 or 49.57% errors of substitution, and 11 or 3.15% errors of permutation. The result of this research show that the dominant errors in English-Indonesian translation of the recount text made by students is substitution.</note>
