21,5cm, 28cm, 81 hlm This research is analyze the semantic on English translation of surah Ar Rahman By Abdullah Yusuf Ali and found the literal meaning, dixies and dynamic equivalence in surah Ar Rahman. In this research, the researcher used descriptive qualitative approach to collect the data. The researcher used descriptive qualitative to described the findings from his research and discusse about all findings still analyze the translation to answer the research question. The result of this research showed that there are various of literal meaning which are used in various translation of verse from surah Ar Rahman from the first to the last. The literal meaning contained in surah Ar Rahman verses 1-78 of the translation of Abdullah Yusuf Ali includes 5 synonym, 6 hyponim,47 denotation,4 antonym, 8 connotation, 14 polysemy. From the result of the research there are various deixies used in surah Ar Rahman there are 53 personal deixies, 2 temporal deixises, 7 spasial deixies. And from the research there are various of dynamic equivalence used in surah Ar Rahman, there are 55 equivalence and 23 non equivalence.So that, Abdullah Yusuf Ali in translating surah Ar-Rahman uses sentences that are directly in accordance with its meaning or indirectly and in this surah he mostly uses denotation lexical as evidence by the finding of these denotative sentences 47 times. In conclusion, the translation from surah Ar Rahman by Yusuf Ali increase our belief and faith in Allah and there are also various kinds of verses that contain literal meaning, deixis and equivalence which really need to be analyzed for research purposes, especially Muslims.
