21,5cm, 28cm, 73 hlm This research is aimed to find out problem mastering language features of narrative text written by students' 9th grade at MTS Negeri 1 Serang and to analyze language features in narrative text that written by students’ 9th grade MTS Negeri 1 Serang. This research use qualitative method with content analysis method. The objective of this study is narrative texts which were written by students' MTS Negeri 1 Serang. The research subject is the 9th grade of students' MTS Negeri 1 Serang. Collecting the data were document and interview. The document technique is used to result data analysis narrative text written by student and interview to find out problems mastering language features in writing narrative text. Based on the analysis, it was found that language features of narrative text written by student MTS Negeri 1 Serang are specific characters, verb (action verb, mental verb, and saying verb), adverbial time and conjunction time, adjective which form noun phrase, dialogue, direct and indirect speech, simple past tense, and descriptive word. The author concluded, the student understood how to write narrative text and understanding about language features in narrative text.
