21,5cm, 28cm, 81 hlm This research investigates speaking fluency level of students of English Education Department. The research is conducted based on some research questions: 1) How is the level of speaking fluency of English Education Department students in the sixth semester? 2) What are the problems that faced by students at the sixth semester regarding their speaking fluency? The objectives of this research: To know the level of speaking fluency of English Education Department Students in the sixth semester; to find out the problems that faced by students at the sixth semester regarding their speaking fluency. In this research, the researcher uses case study in which the subject of the research is the students in the sixth semester of English Education Department in The State Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. The instruments of this research are speaking test and interview. In the speaking test, students short talk with free topic and asked to deliver the short talk for 2 minutes and be recorded. In addition to the speaking test, there are 7 questions related to problems in speaking fluency. Based on the result of the research, speaking fluency level of the studens at the lowest level are in level intermediate, most students are in level good fluency and at a highest level are in level advance. Meanwhile, the problems are students face in speaking fluency are lack of vocabulary, afraid of making mistakes in pronunciation or grammar, lack of self-confident, and habit.
