21,5cm, 28cm, 75 hlm This research aims to find out the common mistakes commonly found in Javanese dialect Banten students in the English Education Department in the 2019/2020 academic year in attending the pronunciation course, in pronouncing some consonants sound. The researchers focuses on the sixth and eighth semester students who has Javanese cultural background to know their accuracy in pronouncing some consonants words. The data was collected by giving 42 word tests to 12 participants, the researcher uses qualitative method on writing her paper. The researcher involves herself to collect data by observing the participants, recording their pronunciation and analyzing the error on their pronunciation based on theories of characteristics of consonants sound which are taken from some relevant references. On the conclusion, the researcher has found that Javanese students of English Education Department of UIN SMH Banten are made twenty four error on their pronunciation and mispronunciation happened because the absent of English in Javanese dialect Banten inventories and the participants has may have less understand about comparing the English consonant and Javanese dialect consonant sounds.
