The analysis of main characters and moral values of local folklore (An Analytical of Local Folklore)

This study was carried out to analyse the main characters and moral values on local folklore. The method was used in this study was qualitative method describe analysis of the main characters and moral values of the local folklore. This study discusses the character analysis and forms of moral values that exist in this folklore. Folklore is a story that develops and lives in a society. In folklore, there are also characters and moral values describe in each character. The results of this study are 2 characters in Tanjung Lesung, 2 characters in the Pinang mountain story, 3 characters in Prince Pandegelang and Princess Cadasari, 2 characters in the Batu Kuwung story, and 2 character in the Karang Bolong story. While, the results of moral values that show attitudes towards fellow humans including Religiosity, Sociality, Gender, Power Struggle, Responsibility.
