Evaluating school literacy movement programme at SMPN 1 Kota Cilegon (A Case Study at SMPN 1 Kota Cilegon)

This research investigates “Evaluating School Literacy Movement Programme at SMPN 1 Kota Cilegon (A Case Study at SMPN 1 Kota Cilegon)”. The aims of this study were 1) To observe the implementation of the School Literacy Movement Program which is run at SMPN 1 Kota Cilegon. 2) To advice some activities which should be done by board of teachers should do to enhance School Literacy Movement at SMPN 1 Kota Cilegon. The method of this research was qualitative method. This research used case study designed with interview, observation and documentation. This research is conducted at SMPN 1 Kota Cilegon. The data obtained from interview and observation. The data anlaysis will be presented in a description of the data. Based on the result, the implementation of school literacy movement at SMPN 1 Kota Cilegon is good but still must be developed. The researcher gives some advices to enhance the scool literacy movement, such as public involvement, language week, Literacy Clinic, Ambassador of Literacy, and Literacy Tour.
