<note>This research uses qualitative as a case study that mainly analyzes the difficulties of English Education Department (EED) Students in reading comprehension test of TOEFL. The objective of this research is to investigate which skills in reading comprehension test of TOEFL that are the most difficult for EED students and what difficulties are encountered by EED students in reading comprehension test of TOEFL based on two main problems 1) which skills in reading comprehension test of TOEFL are the most difficult for EED students? And 2) what are the difficulties encountered by the EED students in reading comprehension test of TOEFL? 22 students, who have just participated in TOEFL Post-Test from 8th Semester of English Education Department of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, are involved in this research. Archival records, questionnaire and interview are used as the instrument of this research. The result of this study showed that the most difficult skills in TOEFL reading are Main Idea, Implied Idea, and Stated Detail. The difficulties encountered by EED students are the difficulty in guessing the meaning of words without opening dictionary. It includes difficult to use context, structural clues and word parts, difficult to overview the topics in the texts and to relate idea from one paragraph to others. Meanwhile, the reading problem are EED students are difficult to understand meaning of vocabulary and sentences, to understand paragraph and texts, to analyze grammar pattern, to do paraphrasing, to read fast, to catch the idea quickly, to manage the time, to relate background knowledge to the text and to relate the questions to texts.</note>
