The effect Of Cooperative-Discussion Questioning (Coop-Dis-Q) Strategy on speaking ability. (A quasiexperimental study at the eighth-grade students of SMP PLUS SALSABILA in Academic Year 2018/2019)
This research investigates The use Of Cooperative-DiscussionQuestioning (Coop-Dis-Q) Strategy on teaching speaking. This research was to find out wheter teaching speaking by using Cooperative-DiscussionQuestioning (Coop-Dis-Q) Strategy can improve students speaking ability. To answer the questions, the writer collected the data from 42 (forty two) students from two classes, one class as experiment research method. The population is eighth grade class 8A as the experiment group and class B as a control group taken as sample. During the research, the writer used quasiexperiment method and the data is gathered though pre-test and post-test. The result of calculating shows that the value of to (tobservation ) is 4,17. And degree of the freedom (df) is 21, the writer use the t table to know whether it is significant or not. The result of ttable on significant 5% = 2,08 and 1% = 2,83. It indicates that to 4,17 > 2,08 and 4,17 > 2,83 so the zero hypothesis is rejected and the hypothesis is accepted. It means that both variables have significant influenced. In other word, using Coop-Dis-Q strategy in improving speaking ability is absolutely effective. Key words: Coop-Dis-Q Strategy and speaking
