<note>This research investigates “The teachers’ Problems in Teaching Speaking Skill at MTS Islamic Modern Boarding School Manahijussadat”. The objectives of the research are; describing the problems faced by the teachers in teaching speaking skill at MTS Islamic Modern Boarding School Manahijussadat; and describing what the teachers do to overcome the problems are faced by the teachers. This is a qualitative research with observation and interview as the research instrument involving four English teachers’ two students as the sample. Based on the findings, teachers had problems in teaching speaking which caused by three factors: Teaching Constraints, Learner’s Problems, and the lack of necessary Facilities in teaching speaking skill. The teachers’ effort in overcoming the problems are choose and used the suitable technique in teaching speaking skill, teachers encourage and motivates the students attitude towards English speaking skill, and facilitating students’ learning speaking skill. The researcher suggested some theories from the expert to overcome the problems is the implicit and explicit of teaching English speaking in EFL classroom.
