<note>This research investigates the teachers’ practice in authentic speaking assessment. The writer focused on the title of this research: “EFL Teachers’ Practice in Authentic Speaking Assessment” the research is conducted based on the problem of: 1) how is teachers’ practice in authentic speaking assessment? 2) What are the strategies of the teachers’ practice in authentic speaking assessment? In reference to the afro mentioned research problems, this research is aimed at: 1) To know teachers’ practice in authentic speaking assessment. 2) To know the strategies of the teachers’ practice in authentic speaking assessment. In this research, the writer uses case study. Case study is one of type qualitative method. The subject of this research is the teachers at SMK Bina Mandiri Pamarayan. The sample was 3 teachers, this research conducted with two meetings. The technique of data collecting by observation, interview, and documentation. Based on the result of the research, the researcher concluded that the teachers in SMK Bina Mandiri Pamarayan school are good, it can be seen from the instruments. As like from data observation the teachers from SMK Bina Mandiri Pamarayan the first by initial (EH) she has a value of 2,7 it means she has good value, the second teacher by initial (A) he has a value of 2,4 and it means he has good value, and the last teacher by initial (II) she has a value of 2,1, which means she has enough value. Although there were some teacher felt difficult in assessing authentic speaking skill, its caused some of factors such as from the students, there are some students that difficult to perform task, and from the teachers themselves, for example a lack of knowledge as well as the difficulty of mastering class.</note>
