Advisers: Dr. Apud, M.Pdand Eulis RachmawatiM.PdThis research conducted based on the statement of problems, 1) How issong used in teaching listening to junior high school students; 2) How  is  the  effectiveness  of using  song  in  teaching  listening  to  junior high  school  students.  This  research  oriented  to the  following  aims,  1) To  investigate How  issong  used  in  teaching  listening;  2)  To  explore influence the  effectiveness  of using  song  in  teaching  listening. To answer  questions  above,  the  reseacher  collected  data  from  70  students spreading  in  two  classes,  each  class  has 35  students.  One  class  as experimental  group,  and  another  one  is  control  group.  This  research used  an  experimental  research.  The  population  was  70  students  of  the firstgradeof  SMPN  1  Menes  Pandeglang.  The  reseacher  took  sample from  VIIB  class  as  control  group,  and  VIIA  class  as  experimental group.  The  data  was  gathered  through  pretest  and  posttest  because  the writer used experimental method.Based on the result, the reseacher got mean  pretest  score 55.14and  posttest  60.85  from  control  class.  While from experimental class the reseacher got mean pretest 46.28 and mean posttest 69.14. The score of experimental class increase on 22.86% it is better than control class students with increase on 5.71%. According to the  data,  the  score  of  t0 (t  observation)  3.56  is  higher  than  tt(t  table) 1.99It means that using song gives the significant influence in teaching listening ability</note>
