This research investigates the application of teaching speaking. The writer focus in the title of this research : The Effectiveness of Comic Media in Student Speaking Skillclass VIII MTs PII Salinggara –Pandeglang in academic year 2018/2019.The research was conducted based on the main problem are :1). How is the student in speaking skill ? 2). How the effectiveness the comic media in improving students speaking skill ? the objectives of research are :1). To know student in speaking skill before use comic media.2). To know effectiveness the comic media in improving students speaking skill.The research method was experimental research ( pre-test-post-test group design). The writers collects data from 46 students, spread into two classes, 23 students as the experimental class and 23 students’ as control class. The population is the eighth grade students of MTs PII Salinggara-Pandeglang in academic 2018/2019, while class VIII A as Control Class and VIII B as the experimental class are taken as the sample.Since the research uses experimental method, the data gathered through pre-test and post-test. The result of this research shows the value of t-test or 2.81 the degree of freedom (df) is 44. In the process, the writer uses the degree of significant of5% = 2.01 and significant of 1 % =2.69 so = 2.81 > 2.01 or 2.81 >2.69. it mean that Ha ( alternative hypothesis ) of research is accepted.
