the harshest penalties, because cohabitation is very
harmful, and can cause a lot of crime and other crimes.
Based on the background above, the formulation of the problem is: 1)
what is the nature of the prohibition of adultery? 2) How the nature of the

ohibition of adultery in the Quran? 3) How the interpretation of
SayyidQutub against the nature of the prohibition of adultery in the Quran?
