Based on the background above, the formulation of the problem is: 1) what is the nature of the prohibition of adultery? 2) How the nature of the pr ohibition of adultery in the Quran? 3) How the interpretation of SayyidQutub against the nature of the prohibition of adultery in the Quran? This type of research in this thesis is the library (library reseach) with the following steps: first using the primary data s ources in this study is the Tafsir Fi ẓ ilālil Quran works of Sayyid Qutub and second secondary data sources.
