The Use of Peer Tutoring Technique in Teaching Student’s Reading Comprehension (An Experimental Research at the Second Grade of SMPN 3 Cikande ) ABSTRACT This research is aimed to describe how can peer tutoring technique be applied in teaching reading comprehension ; to find out students understanding on reading comprehension before and after the use of p eer tutoring technique . Method used for this research is experimental with two classes, called experiment and c ontrol class using pre - test and post - test technique. This research involves 60 student as sample among the second class of SMPN 3 Cikande as population. The result of the data analysis is using t - test, the value of t observation is 6,02 with degree of freed om 58. According to t table is significance level of 5% is 2, 00 and significant level of 1% is 2,66 . After that the writer compared the data with t table both in degree significance 5% and 1%. Therefore t o :t t = 6,02 > 2, 00 in degree of significance 5% and t o :t t = 6,02 > 2,66 in degree significance 1%.
